Chapter 4: The Journey's End
Before long we'd tossed out the last of the cakes, though a great number of Goblins were still hot on our heels.
Just as we started to panic all over again, we heard the distinct sounds of people not far from us. We quickly weighed our options and fled in the direction of the voices.
As we got closer, the sounds of steel weapons clattering also reached our ears.
We soon reached a narrow mountain path where we were met by an armed group carrying torches who quickly halted the Goblins' pursuit.
We learned that Deputy Leader Burr had been out on partol with his soldiers that night and, at hearing the Goblins, had decided to investigate.
