When you're talking Red Ridge, you're talking Sabretoothed Cats.



Steam rises from the area around Red Ridge. This vapor smells strongly acidic.



According to research, this odor changes the Sabretoothed Cats' normally mild temperament and causes them to grow vicious. The steam usually coincides with their mating period; they'll attack other creatures in their pursuit of one another, so if you see two cats on a date, no matter how awkward it looks, stay away!

Apparently, the acidic smell causes the cats' pheromones to rise rapidly. When they see another creature, regardless of what it is, they'll pursue it as a potential mate... and trust me, you don't want to go on a date with a Sabretoothed Cat. They never pick up the check.
