We recently heard a strange roar echoing forth from the Ancient Forest. The villagers are frightened of this potentially dangerous unknown creature.
Several members of our patrol team in Ilya were recently found dead, their corpses ripped open, bloody entrails strewn around the forest. Deep gashes were found on nearby trees.
Please search the area and try to stop the creature while I investigate the incident. This mission is dangerous; you'd best not go in by yourself unless you're literally dying to solve this mystery.
I believe I've discovered the origin of this issue. The growing power of Carso created cracks in the barrier that seals away Deepfathom; vicious otherworldly creatures have been slipping through the fissures. I have already asked the Magic Academy to repair the cracks.
The good news is that the barrier is still mostly effective; as creatures pass through, they will be injured. Otherwise, this could be an utter disaster.
