While you went to Scorching Wind Desert, I scouted around Phoenix Tower and discovered that fire spirits attack anyone who gets too close.
There are tons of them, and I don't think we'll be able to get around them.
You seem like you're good with weapons. Could you please eliminate some fire spirits?
